It is a great way to relax and spend a couple of hours in casual and genuine conversation. I highly recommend settling into the best Bloody Mary's in town with spicy pickled green beans. Open 24 hours a day, drinks are affordable and delicious and canine friends are welcome. If the saying goes it's the people that make the place, then in my opinion there isn't a better place in New Orleans and the place is pretty great as well. Stepping into it is like stepping into southern hospitality at its best. From the outside you might miss it, a pride flag waiving proudly in the New Orleans sun, plants dripping from their daily hydration and a couple of windows are all that mark this hidden treasure of LGBTQ camaraderie nestled just off the the bustle of Bourbon street. It's hard to describe the charm of the Golden Lantern.
